This article will run through the automatic process when changing a tenancy with the water board. It allows agents to easily send a change of request to the relevant water authority based on the suburb of the property. Please contact your MoveMeIn account manager prior to setting this up so that you are aware of the settings that must be actioned for your account to enable VicWater.
Using VIC Water within IRE
Note: Please note that VIC Water will only prompt the application once the status has been changed to ‘Paid’. Each application will be sent to the relevant water board based on where the location of the property and in the water boards required format.
1. To prompt the VicWater application, change your competed application to the status 'Paid'; a popup box will appear prompting you to action the form.

2. From here you can either cancel VICWater and go through the status change or click the hyperlinked ‘Here’ to complete the form. Once this form is completed you can then change the app status to Paid again and complete the process.

3. From here you will see that the property address, tenant and owner details will pre-fill into the form. You should only need to add in the lease start date and the Identification type and number.
Note: If you have multiple tenants, you can also then choose a primary contact or you can remove them from the water application.

4. Once you have filled in the lease start date and ID details, select Send Notification. If you have missed any information you will be prompted to fill that in. Once you have filled in the missing details you can then hit send notification again.

5. Once you hit Save and there is no missing data, the following pop up will be displayed on the screen indicating that you have successfully saved the information. Click OK to continue and the form will then be sent once the application is approved.

6. If you need to cancel that form, simply hit ‘Cancel VicWater’ followed by OK to confirm.

7. Once you click OK, the below confirmation will appear. You will also note that this cancellation will be recorded in the VicWater log. Remember that you can manually send this at a later time if required.

8. You will then be notified that the application has been sent to the water board, if you would like to in this step, you have the option to complete the Off VL report.
To view the VicWater log, navigate to Reports > Applications > Vic Water Log.

Note: From there you will be able to view all applications including ones associated with current rental applications. You can see which company the application has been sent to and from here you also have the option to manually send any application that you have previously cancelled.
